Raisin soda, Chicken McCroquettes and other oddities...

Pictured here are some examples of the mapleastrophe, or mapastrophe as I like to call it. For some reason all the American fast food chains seem to feel the need to insinuate a maple leaf somewhere into their logo. In fairness it is easy to forget that you are not in American when you're in Canada, so I guess its good for that, but you'd remember anyway as soon as you get you're money out.
I still can't help but feel ripped off sometimes when I pay with a twenty and they hand me back a five and a big handful of change. "I get 9 dollars, what's all this change? You owe me 9 dollars!"
The other thing that sticks out is the fact that on the other side of every product, you find that products name listed again in French. Most of the time it's completely in comprehensible to me because I don't speak a lick of French. I'm learning though. Apparently the French word for Grape is Raisin, which my sister pointed out to me while I was in the middle of pointing out that "gross, they have raisin flavored pop here!"
Also, there must not be a French word for nugget, because they call their Mcnugget's chicken Mccroquettes. I'm not sure which name is less appetizing, but as an interesting side note the English translation of croquette is croquette.
